Rachel is a shareholder at D&S who began her public accounting career as an intern with a local accounting firm in the Lehigh Valley area. After graduating from Moravian College, she developed her skills further at a larger regional firm and as a tax analyst at a large public corporation in Philadelphia before joining D&S in 2011. In 2020, Rachel became a shareholder at D&S.
At D&S, Rachel assists high-net-worth family groups with individual tax and financial planning, family business tax planning, trust and estate taxation issues, family succession planning, and private foundation compliance and consulting. She uses a holistic approach to tax and wealth planning to ensure all aspects and needs of the client’s family are considered.
Rachel currently sits on the annual fundraising benefit committee for Legacy Youth Tennis & Education in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. She also previously served as co-chair of the Young Proprietors Committee of the Center City Proprietors Association, where she developed educational programming on business matters for entrepreneurs and business owners, and as Treasurer for The Philadelphia Spin Coalition, a nonprofit organization that promotes movement and circus arts in the Philadelphia region.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting with a French minor from Moravian College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Master’s in Taxation degree from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program. Rachel is also a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, and 100 Women in Finance.
When not working with clients, Rachel can be found hiking in Wissahickon Valley Park with her husband and golden retriever, or at the ballet as she is an avid fan and an amateur ballet dancer herself. She also enjoys traveling to new places in the United States and internationally.
