Philadelphia –Drucker & Scaccetti (D&S), a strategic tax planning and consulting firm, announced the promotion of five (5) of its team members; the largest promotion class in its 27-year history. Promoted to Principal are Chris Barbuto, Chris Catarino, Rachel Kieser, and Dan Marques. Joseph Criscuolo is promoted to Managing Associate. The promotions are effective January 1, 2018.

As principals, Barbuto, Catarino, Kieser, and Marques, together with the shareholders, will share the responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of serving D&S clients and managing D&S personnel. Criscuolo, as a Managing Associate, will assist Principals and Shareholders on client engagements and supervise Associates.
Chris Barbuto joined D&S in 2007 and previously worked at an accounting firm in Chicago. He received a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from George Washington University, where he graduated cum laude, and a Master of Taxation degree from DePaul University. Chris is also a member of both the American and Pennsylvania (PICPA) Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He serves on both the PICPA and Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce State Taxation Committees and is a 2013 winner of the PICPA Young Leadership Award.
Chris Catarino started his D&S career as a college intern from Villanova University, where he graduated cum laude with degrees in accounting and finance. He also holds a Master of Taxation from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program and is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Chris has been published in the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council’s quarterly newsletter and the Philadelphia Business Journal. He has also been quoted in TaxLaw360 and is a regular contributor to the Tax Warrior Chronicles blog. He is a member of the Nova Next Council for Real Estate, the Villanova School of Business and DiLella Center for Real Estate's next generation of real estate industry leaders.
After beginning her career at a mid-sized accounting firm in Berks County, PA, Rachel Kieser joined D&S in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Moravian College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Master of Taxation degree from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program. She is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Rachel serves on the board of the Philadelphia Spin Coalition, a nonprofit promoting movement arts. She is also the co-chair of the Center City Proprietors Association’s Young Proprietor’s Committee.
With his roots in a regional accounting firm’s tax department, Dan Marques joined D&S in 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting & finance, from Drexel University, and a Master of Taxation degree from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program, where he was awarded the Bartley Medallion in recognition of outstanding achievement in the discipline. It is the school’s highest honor bestowed on a graduating student. Dan is an active member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey.
Joseph Criscuolo began his career at D&S in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from LaSalle University, where he graduated cum laude, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Joseph is currently pursuing a Master of Taxation degree from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program. He is a regular contributor to the Tax Warrior Chronicles blog, and writes primarily on tax situations impacting athletes. In 2017, two of Joseph’s blogs on the taxation of NFL players were published by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Joseph also serves on the board of the Ryan Lesher Foundation, an organization helping families facing tragedy or financial burdens.
