As one of the founding shareholders of D&S in 1990, Bob has combined significant administrative responsibilities as a member of the firm’s Executive and Compensation Committees with a broad-based client practice geared toward proactive service.

Bob’s expertise is concentrated in the areas of business, income tax, financial and estate planning as well as tax compliance. Bob provides counseling on business succession matters, entity structuring, retirement planning, tax implications of divorce and many other areas involving taxation. He also assists clients in resolving IRS as well as state and local tax disputes. Bob’s clients include law firms and other professional service organizations, real estate development and construction companies, retailers, wholesalers and entrepreneurs.

Bob entered the field of public accounting in 1972, acquiring a broad range of tax and business skills. Earlier in his career, he worked for the Wall Street office of Price Waterhouse & Co., where he gained a broad range of tax experience and ultimately became a tax manager. In 1980, Bob joined the East Brunswick, New Jersey, office of Laventhol & Horwath (L&H) and worked primarily with small businesses, professional service firms and real estate clients. In 1986, he transferred to L&H’s Philadelphia office, where he continued to pursue an active tax practice, and became a principal in the firm.

Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brooklyn College, and a Master of Science degree in taxation from Pace University. He holds a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also an active member of Vistage, the world’s leading chief executive organization, where he offers direct input to CEO’s and business owners on a regular basis.

Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Rolanda. Bob and Rolanda have two grown children who are both involved in the music industry. Their son is a manager and promoter of musicians for a music management firm in Denver, and their daughter is a talented singer, songwriter and guitarist who often performs locally.

Bob shares his children’s appreciation for music and frequently attends live music events in the Philadelphia region.  Bob stays true to his roots as a loyal fan of all of the New York sports teams. His interests include experimenting with the latest tech gadgets.
