Profile

As a practitioner focusing on business and tax issues since 1974, Ron has developed a broad background in tax and financial planning for both businesses and individuals. In his practice, he consults with business and healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and individuals. He has an extensive and successful history of representing clients in adversary proceedings with federal, state and local tax authorities.

Prior to joining Drucker & Scaccetti, P.C. in 1992, Ron worked as a tax partner in the Philadelphia office of Laventhol & Horwath, and served as the tax director of a local accounting firm. He also taught courses on the taxation of S corporations and nonprofit corporations in the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program, where he served as an adjunct faculty member for several years. Both before and after joining Drucker & Scaccetti, P.C., he even appeared as a daily radio commentator on the show, More for Your Money, which was broadcasted by the Philadelphia radio station WPEN.

Ron received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Temple University in 1971. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law in 1974, and his Master of Law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1981.

Ron and two other shareholders of Drucker & Scaccetti, P.C. are also partners in the law firm of Shaiman, Drucker, Beckman, Sobel & Stutman, LLP. Ron is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and is licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Personal Information

Ron and his wife Ilene live in Havertown, Pennsylvania, and have two grown children. Their son is a college student, and their daughter is a vice president with JP Morgan in New York City.

Ron and Ilene enjoy traveling, as well as spending time with their family and friends. They also share a passion for music. Ron is a very talented pianist, who wishes that he had more time to practice and form his own Philly Pops. Ilene is an outstanding singer, who enjoys attending Broadway musicals.

In addition, Ron has played an active role in the community. He completed two-year tenure as president and chair of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund. He was the treasurer and a board member of the Martins Run Senior Residential Community and has served on the board of his Congregation.
