Profile
Jane began her career in the public accounting profession in 1977. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in tax and financial services for the family-owned and entrepreneurially driven business. As part of her practice, she consults with public and privately owned companies, and provides both corporate and individual financial counseling. She also handles partnership and S corporation taxation, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and other tax and financial matters. In addition to the responsibilities of her practice, Jane has had the opportunity to serve as a director on the boards of four publicly reporting companies. She currently serves as both a director and as the Audit Committee Chair to The Pep Boys, and Nutrition Management Services Company. She also serves on the board of Mathematica Inc.
In 1990, Jane became one of the founding shareholders of Drucker & Scaccetti, P.C. She has since helped to define the client service philosophy of this firm as one of proactive involvement in the financial needs of its clients. Jane had previously brought this vision to Laventhol & Horwath (L&H), where, as a supervisor, she had spearheaded the firm’s national efforts to offer services in personal financial counseling to its clients. It was her idea to provide these services on a proactive basis, rather than simply in response to specific client questions.
In 1987, when Jane joined the partnership at L&H, she became the first woman tax partner of a national accounting firm in Philadelphia. While there, she practiced in the areas of personal financial counseling, partnership taxation and estate planning. Later, she worked for two years as a full-time professor at Temple University, teaching taxation in the Master’s program and managerial accounting as part of the undergraduate curriculum. Since then she has received many awards and recognition including the 2006 PA Best 50 Women in Business award and the Pinnacle Award.
Jane received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University, where she majored in accounting and graduated magna cum laude. She also earned a Master of Taxation from the Villanova Law School Graduate Tax Program. In addition, she maintains a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
