Karolyn R. Banks participated in the 14th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service at Temple University, who sponsored the event. Karolyn, along with her family and the brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., helped remove outdated computer equipment from the Mt. Zion Methodist Church located on the 1500 block of North 11th Street. The computers were taken to the Temple University Computer Recycling Center where they will be refurbished and donated to other schools, community groups, and other non-profits in need of computer equipment in the Philadelphia Area.
